I visited Holly Beach last weekend. First trip to that part of the Louisiana coast. I visited for a mini-honeymoon vacation. We camped right on the beach a little ways down from the main beach. It was pretty awesome. The beach wasn’t as clean as the main beach but it wasn’t too bad and we had our little corner/entrance all to ourselves. The water quality wasn’t great, an advisory was posted not to swim. We did get in and play for a bit anyway, just by the shore. We walked the beach, hunted for sea shells, star gazed at night, threw horseshoes, enjoyed the Gulf breeze that always blows, all while listening to the waves lap at the shore. If you go, bring mosquito spray, at dusk they come out, they are really bad. Once we sprayed down with repellant we were able to enjoy the rest of the night outside. I loved the trip and would go again in a heartbeat.
The following images are of sunrise Saturday, our beach walks, our little crab friend, sunrise Sunday, the waves and nearby attractions, etc. I hope y’all enjoy them as much as I enjoyed taking them!
